Alamüdün District
Alamüdün ( ky, Аламүдүн району) is a district of Chüy Region in northern Kyrgyzstan. Its area is , and its resident population was 188,484 in 2021. Its administrative seat is Lebedinovka. The district surrounds Bishkek, but does not include it, because the city forms a region-level unit of its own. Chüy Region
Chüy Region ( ky, Чүй облусу, Chüy oblusu; russian: Чуйская область, Chuyskaya oblast) is the northernmost region (''oblast'') of the Kyrgyz Republic. This region surrounds the national capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. It is bounded on the north by Kazakhstan, and clockwise, Issyk-Kul Region, Naryn Region, Jalal-Abad Region, and Talas Region. Its administrative center is Bishkek. Its total area is . The resident population of the region was 974,984 as of January 2021. Ismailbek Taranchiev
Ismailbek Taranchiev (russian: Исмаилбек Таранчиев ; 6 April 1923 – 18 March 1944) was a Kyrgyz Soviet aviator and posthumous Hero of the Soviet Union. He is one of the Soviet war heroes to conduct a "fire taran" – a suicide attack by an aircraft on a ground target. After his Ilyushin Il-2 was hit by antiaircraft fire, Taranchiev crashed his plane into a concentration of German tanks in Estonia in March 1944. Early life Ismailbek Taranchiev was born on 6 April 1923 in the village of Besh-Kungey in what is now part of the Chuy Region in Kyrgyzstan. Taranchiev graduated from eighth grade. World War II By June 1941, Taranchiev had joined the Red Army. In 1943, he graduated from the 3rd Chkalovsky Pilots Military Aviation School. Overview The award was established on 16 April 1934, by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. The first recipients of the title originally received only the Order of Lenin, the highest Soviet award, along with a certificate (грамота, ''gramota'') describing the heroic deed from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
