Beryl Fox
Beryl Fox (born December 10, 1931) is a Canadian documentary film director and film producer. Biography Fox was born in 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After graduating from the University of Toronto she was hired by the CBC and worked there from 1962 to 1966, first as a script assistant and researcher and then as a film director. Fox had a gift for understanding contemporary social and political conflicts. She was the first Canadian to do in depth, and frequently critical, explorations of the Vietnam War, race riots, and feminism in the United States. She has won three Canadian Film Awards; the first for '' Summer in Mississippi'' in 1965, a film about the civil rights movement and the second and third awards for her best-known film, '' The Mills of the Gods: Viet Nam'' in 1966. Winnipeg () is the capital and largest city of the province of Manitoba in Canada. Annette Kuhn
Annette Frieda Kuhn, FBA is a British author, cultural historian, educator, researcher, editor and feminist. She is known for her work in screen studies, visual culture, film history and cultural memory. She is Professor and Research Fellow in Film Studies at Queen Mary University of London. Career Kuhn earned a bachelor's degree in 1969 and master's degree in 1975 in sociology at the University of Sheffield. While at Sheffield, she served as the Research Officer at the Sheffield Students' Union, during which period she worked on a campaign for a University crèche. Kuhn also co-convened the Sheffield University Women's Studies Group, organising public seminars and film screenings. CP24 is a Canadian English-language specialty news channel owned by Bell Media, a subsidiary of BCE Inc. and operated alongside the Bell-owned CTV Television Network's owned-and-operated television stations CFTO-DT (CTV Toronto) and CKVR-DT (CTV 2 Barrie). The channel broadcasts from 299 Queen Street West in Downtown Toronto. It was first originally launched on March 30, 1998, under the name CablePulse24 by its owners CHUM Limited and Sun Media. The channel was named as an extension of CITY-TV (Citytv Toronto)'s newscasts, which were then known as ''CityPulse''. CHUM acquired Sun Media's interest in 2004 after acquiring the assets of Craig Media.
