Daniel Berthiaume
Daniel J. Berthiaume (born January 26, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played six seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Winnipeg Jets, Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, and Ottawa Senators. Playing career Known as "The Bandit" during his hockey career, Berthiaume was a standout goaltender in junior hockey, playing for the Drummondville Voltigeurs and Chicoutimi Saguenéens of the QMJHL. During the 1984-85 Berthiaume won 40 games for the Saguenéens, a feat made more impressive when you factor in that the team won 41 games that season. Following this impressive year, he was drafted 60th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and then played his final year of Junior hockey then made his NHL debut that spring during the NHL playoffs. Daniel Berthiaume is a Canadian musician. He was born in Montreal, Quebec. A guitarist, he also plays keyboards and sings in a multitude of musical styles (rock, pop, jazz, blues, folk, Ambient Music, New Age, electronica, etc.). Career In the 1980s, Berthiaume travelled throughout Quebec with various groups, playing more than 400 concerts featuring covers of Supertramp, Genesis, U2, etc. and original compositions. Raymond Berthiaume (born May 9, 1931 and died June 23, 2009) was a Canadian jazz singer, musician, producer and composer from Quebec, Canada. Biography Berthiaume was born in Laval, Quebec, on May 9, 1931. He died of cancer (June 23, 2009) in Montreal (Québec) after being hospitalized for 10 days. He studied piano and saxophone at College Laval. In 1948, he created an instrumental group named The Three Bars. The owner of the bar in which they performed suggested they select a vocalist, knowing that a singer would make the group more popular. Berthiaume was chosen, and became the group's vocalist. The move seemed to work, and the group was soon hailed as the best in the city. They played in the high-class nightclub El Morocco, where Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Vic Damone had all performed. Trefflé Berthiaume (August 4, 1848 – January 2, 1915) was a Canadian typographer, newspaperman and politician. He was born in Saint-Hugues, Lower Canada as one of the five children of Gédéon Berthiaume and Éléonore Normandin. Berthiaume was only four years old when his father died. In 1859, after his primary schooling, he joined the Séminaire de Saint-Hyacinthe. After school, he was an apprentice to a tailor for more than two years.
