Herbert Young (4 September 1899 – 1 May 1976) was an English professional footballer who made over 260 appearances as an outside left in the Football League for Aberdare Athletic, Brentford, Newport County, Queens Park Rangers, Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town. Playing career An outside left, Young began his career at First Division club Everton, before dropping down to the Third Division South to sign for Aberdare Athletic in 1923. Caresse Crosby (born Mary Phelps Jacob; April 20, 1892 – January 24, 1970) was the first recipient of a patent for the modern bra, an American patron of the arts, publisher, and the "literary godmother to the Lost Generation of expatriate writers in Paris." She and her second husband, Harry Crosby, founded the Black Sun Press, which was instrumental in publishing some of the early works of many authors who would later become famous, among them Ernest Hemingway, Archibald MacLeish, Henry Miller, Anaïs Nin, Kay Boyle, Charles Bukowski, Hart Crane, and Robert Duncan. Crosby's parents, William Hearn Jacob and Mary (née Phelps) Jacob, were both descended from American colonial families—her father from the Van Rensselaer family, and her mother from William Phelps.
