Albert Young (American Football)
Albert Young (born February 25, 1985) is a former American football running back who played for two seasons in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes, he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played for the Vikings in 2009 and 2010, before agreeing to become an assistant coach for the University of Colorado Buffaloes football team in 2012. Early years A resident of Moorestown, New Jersey, Young played high school football at Moorestown High School. He remains the all-time leading rusher in South Jersey (5,411 yards) and after originally committing to University of Wisconsin-Madison to play football for Barry Alvarez's Badgers, he decomitted for the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2003. Albert Young (September 28, 1877 – July 22, 1940) was an American welterweight boxing, boxer who competed in the early twentieth century. He won a gold medal in boxing at the 1904 Summer Olympics. Young was born in Lauterecken, German Empire in 1877. Amateur career As an amateur boxer, Young captured the Olympic Gold Medal at 148 pounds, in the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis. Young was one of only four boxers, all Americans, who competed in this weight class. 85% of the athletes in total were Americans. Young defeated Harry Spanger in the final to win the gold medal. Albert Edward Young (11 September 1917 – January 2013) was a Welsh footballer who played as a full-back in the English Football League for Swindon Town. Career Having spent the 1937–38 season at nursery club Margate, Young signed as a professional for Arsenal in 1938. In May 1939, he travelled with Arsenal on a tour of Belgium, Sweden and Denmark, but he failed to make any competitive appearances for the North London club due to the outbreak of the Second World War. During the war, Young was stationed with the British Army in Northern Ireland, where he played for Glentoran and represented the Irish League in 1941. He also guested for Crystal Palace, Watford, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. Young signed for Swindon Town in the summer of 1946. Albert Young (楊岡 Yang Gang, pen name 青峰Qing Feng; * July 30, 1962, in Taiwan) is an international writer and poet who resides in Switzerland. Life Albert Young is an international writer and poet who writes and publishes in English, French and Chinese and uses the pen name of Qing Feng for his Chinese publications. He was born on July 30, 1962, in Taiwan and graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France) and the Cornell University (USA).
