Bert Weaver
Herbert Reese Weaver (January 13, 1932 – May 3, 2022) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Senior PGA Tour. A native of Beaumont, Texas, Weaver played collegiate golf at Louisiana State University. Weaver turned professional in 1956. He had second-place finishes at the 1961 Beaumont Open and the 1962 Carling Open before earning his first PGA Tour victory at the Jacksonville Open on March 21, 1965. The event was held at the Selva Marina Country club and was attended by 15,000 people. Weaver collected $8,500 for his efforts, and was the first male golfer from Beaumont to win a PGA Tour event. He was in the top 100 money winners upon retiring in 1968. Weaver played on the Senior PGA Tour from 1982 to 1984. His best finishes were a pair of T-6 at the 1983 Marlboro Classic and the 1984 du Maurier Champions. In the late 1990s, Weaver worked as an official on the Senior PGA Tour. Bruce Devlin
Bruce William Devlin (born 10 October 1937) is an Australian professional golfer, sportscaster and golf course designer. Devlin was born in Armidale, Australia. He turned pro in 1961 and joined the PGA Tour in 1962 after an amateur career in Australia which included a win at the Australian Amateur in 1959. During his PGA Tour career, he had eight victories all of which occurred between 1964 and 1972. In 1972, he earned $119,768 and finished eighth on the money list. On the Senior PGA Tour, Devlin won one tournament, the 1995 FHP Health Care Classic. At the end of the 1998 golf season, Devlin decided to retire from the Senior PGA Tour to concentrate on his Golf Course Architecture and Design business and his commitment to ESPN's Golf Telecasts. Caracas Open
The Venezuela Open or Abierto de Venezuela is a men's professional golf tournament. It has only been staged intermittently since 1957, 2019 being the 35th edition of the event. Al Geiberger, Art Wall Jr., David Graham, Roberto De Vicenzo and Tony Jacklin are past champions. Since 2014, the Venezuela Open has been a fixture on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Developmental Series. From 1979 to 2009 it made frequent appearances on the South American Tour, later known as the Tour de las Américas. Panama Open
The Panama Open was a golf tournament played from 1938 to 1982, during which time it was won by some of the biggest names in professional golf, including Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. It was an event on the PGA-sponsored Caribbean Tour between 1958 and 1974. Following the demise of the Caribbean Tour the tournament was not played for several years, until there was a brief revival between 1979 and 1982. The Panama Open was revived in 1996, when it was an unofficial event on the Canadian Tour; it became an official tournament in 2001 and 2002.
