Bernice Mene
Bernice Papasina Mene (born 18 January 1975) is a former New Zealand netball player. Mene represented New Zealand in netball for the Silver Ferns for 10 years, playing 78 tests. She captained the domestic team the Southern Sting from 1998 to 2003, with the team winning the National Bank Cup each year she captained except for 1998. Mene is a qualified teacher. She made a guest appearance on episode 3.5 of the New Zealand cartoon Bro'Town. Mene has been a Sky TV commentator for Sky Sport 1's live netball coverage of the ANZ Championship along with former Silver Ferns (Tania Dalton, Anna Stanley) and Australian netball players (Natalie Avellino and Kathryn Harby-Williams). Netball
Netball is a ball sport played on a court by two teams of seven players. It is among a rare number of sports which have been created exclusively for female competitors. The sport is played on indoor and outdoor netball courts and is specifically played in schools. Netball is most popularly played in Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth nations. Anna Stanley
Anna Catherine Stanley ( née Rowberry, born 31 March 1976 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a New Zealand netballer, who captained the national team (the Silver Ferns), to win the 2003 Netball World Championships in Jamaica. She led the Silver Ferns to a drought-breaking series win over Australia (the first since 1989) in the winter of 2004, and played for the Auckland Diamonds in the National Bank Cup national league in 2004 and 2005. Early life The daughter of a former New Zealand player, Stanley had not played senior provincial netball when she was sent to her international debut against Jamaica in 1994. Her career dipped to its lowest point when sidelined by selectors for 18 months, but she was recalled in 2002. Sally Mene
Sally Ann Mene (née Flynn) is a former discus and javelin thrower from New Zealand. Sally competed in both the 1970 British Commonwealth Games and the 1974 British Commonwealth Games. Sally Flynn married Mene Mene, a decathlete, in 1970 and they had three children together. Their son Chris Mene is also a discus thrower, and their daughter Bernice Mene was captain of the New Zealand netball team, the Silver ferns. Nathan Mene represented New Zealand in U20 Basketball and also Samoa at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in the High Jump. Sally and Mene Mene have seven grandchildren. Dion Joseph Nash (born 20 November 1971) is a New Zealand entrepreneur and former cricketer. He played for the New Zealand cricket team, captaining the team in 1999 with the injury of regular captain Stephen Fleming. Nash was a right-arm fast medium bowler, taking 93 Test wickets in a career spanning from 1992 to 2001. He became the first player in history to take ten wickets and score 50 runs in a match at the Lord's ground in 1994.
