Bernadette Jagger
Bernadette Maria Jagger (born 26 February 1958 in Riemvasmaak, South Africa) is a Namibian politician. She is a member of SWAPO and became appointed to the party's Central Committee in 2012. In 2015 she won a seat in Parliament of Namibia, parliament. In a Cabinet of Namibia, cabinet reshuffle in February 2018 she was appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism, succeeding Tommy Nambahu. Jagger is a teacher by profession. She holds certificates in lower and higher primary education from Sohnge Training College and University of Namibia, respectively, and rose through the ranks from being a teacher in 1976, a deputy principal in 1992, to the Kunene Regional Director of Education in 2012. Jagger also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching and Administration from the University of Warwick, and a Bachelor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Exeter. Riemvasmaak
Riemvasmaak is a settlement in ZF Mgcawu District Municipality in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The name means ‘tighten the strap’ or ‘tied with straps’. Riemvasmaak is located near the Orange River, close to the Namibian border. It was originally settled in the early 1930s by people of Xhosa people, Xhosa, Damara people, Damara, Herero people, Herero, Nama people, Nama, and Coloured people, Coloured origin, but in the early 1970s the community was sent back to their ethnic homelands by the apartheid government to make place for a military testing site. The Damara group was sent to Khorixas in South-West Africa (today Namibia) and became known as ''Riemvasmakers''. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol.
