Berkshire Trophy
The Berkshire Trophy is the amateur stroke play golf championship played at The Berkshire Golf Club in England. It has been played annually since 1946. The format is 72 hole stroke play contested over two days. Both the Blue and Red courses are used on the Saturday with the leading 40 scores and ties going through to play two further rounds on the Red course on the Sunday. If two or more players are tied after 72 holes they share the trophy; there is no playoff. The player with the lowest combined aggregate over the Brabazon and Berkshire Trophies is awarded the "Philip Scrutton Philip Furse Scrutton (1923 – 30 October 1958) was an English amateur golfer. Ryan Evans (born 27 March 1987) is an English professional golfer. In 2017 he won the Turkish Airlines Challenge on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Evans won the 2014 Lake Macquarie Amateur, was runner-up for the 2013 St Andrews Links Trophy, and medalist at the 2014 Australian Amateur. Professional career Evans was invited to play in some events on the Challenge Tour in 2015. He finished the year at 28th in the rankings, with a best finish of T-3 at the Kärnten Golf Open. He earned his 2016 European Tour card through qualifying school. Evans qualified for the 2016 Open Championship through Final Qualifying; he finished in 58th place. Gary P. Wolstenholme MBE (born 21 August 1960) is an English professional golfer, known for his long amateur career, who now plays on the European Senior Tour. Wolstenholme was born in Egham, Surrey. His father was Guy Wolstenholme a professional golfer. He has won The Amateur Championship twice (1991, 2003) as well as many other amateur tournaments around the world. Ross Daniel Fisher (born 22 November 1980) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, where he has won five times, including the 2009 Volvo World Match Play Championship at Finca Cortesin Golf Club in Spain. Adam Gee (born 22 October 1980) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Gee was born in Carshalton, England. He was a relative latecomer to golf, not attempting the game for the first time until the age of 15.
