Giorgi Beridze
Giorgi Beridze ( ka, გიორგი ბერიძე; born 12 May 1997) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a winger for TFF First League club Kocaelispor and the Georgia national team. Club career Gent A youth product of Zestafoni, Beridze moved to Dila Gori in 2013 and made his professional debut on 2 May 2014 in a 2–1 loss to WIT Georgia in the Umaglesi Liga. He returned shortly to Zestafoni in 2015, before being signed by Belgian Pro League club Gent later that year where he joined the youth academy. Loans In January 2017, Beridze joined Slovak Super Liga club Trenčín on a six-month loan. He made his debut for the club against Slovan Bratislava on 25 February 2017 and netted the equalizer in the match. He extended his contract with Gent until 2020 during his loan, which was also extended by another season. His efforts for Trenčín meant that he was awarded the award as player of the season. Avtandil Beridze
Avef Beridze ( ka, ავთანდილ ბერიძე; 11 January 1955 – 12 November 2020) was a Georgian politician. He was a chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara from 28 October 2012 to 28 November 2016. Beridze is a native of Batumi. Formerly a member of the Republican Party of Georgia, he co-founded the public movement Serve to Georgia, in 2011, together with Murman Dumbadze, who had been dismissed from the Republican Party for his opposition to a planned Turkish-Georgian deal on rebuilding of an Ottoman-era mosque in Batumi. Both Dumbadze and Beridze then joined the Georgian Dream party founded by the tycoon Bidzina Ivanishvili to challenge Mikheil Saakashvili's United National Movement in the October 2012 parliamentary election. Zurab Beridze (swimmer)
Zurab Beridze ( ka, ზურაბ ბერიძე; born 9 January 1979) is a Georgian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. After Georgia gained its independence from the Soviet Union in the early 1990s, Beridze became the first ever swimmer in history to represent his nation at the 2000 Summer Olympics. While studying in the United States, he held the 50-yard freestyle time (20.89), the second fastest in school's record books, and also played for the Western Illinois University's swimming and diving team under head coach Jerry Champer. Beridze competed only in the men's 50 m freestyle at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Despite finishing among the top 25 swimmers from the European Championships in Helsinki, Finland, he received a ticket from FINA, under a Universality program, in an entry time of 24.13. Zurab Beridze ( ka, ზურაბ ბერიძე; born 4 February 1958) is a Georgian diplomat. A Doctor of Historical Sciences, Mr.Beridze has worked in the diplomatic service since 1991. He was the Head of the Georgian Foreign Minister’s Secretariat from 2018 to 2021. He served as Georgia Ambassador to Romania and Moldova from 2004 to 2008 and became Georgia's Ambassador to Bulgaria in November 2013.
