Alan Bergman
Alan Bergman (born September 11, 1925) and Marilyn Keith Bergman (November 10, 1928 – January 8, 2022) were an American songwriting duo. Married from 1958 until Marilyn's death, together they wrote music and lyrics for numerous celebrated television, film, and stage productions. The Bergmans enjoyed a successful career, honored with four Emmys, three Oscars, two Grammys (including Song of the Year), and were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. David Bergman (born 1965) is a British Jewish investigative journalist, blogger, and political commentator on Bangladesh. Bergman is a prominent critic of the regime of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Awami League party. David Bruce Bergman (June 6, 1953 – February 2, 2015) was an American Major League Baseball first baseman, designated hitter and left fielder who played between 1975 and 1992. Early life Born in Evanston, Illinois, Bergman was an alumnus of Maine South High School and Illinois State University. In 1973 and 1974, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and won the league batting title in 1973. His uniform number 12 was retired at Illinois State in 1994. Ellen Bergman (5 January 1842 – 5 December 1921) was a Swedish musician, vocal educator and women's rights activist. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. Biography Eleonora (Ellen) Magdalena Bergman was born at Strängnäs, Sweden. In 1864, she began her education at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music (''Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien'') in Stockholm. Dag Erik Bergman (23 October 1914 – 10 December 1984) was a Swedish diplomat. Biography Bergman was the son of Erik Bergman, a parish minister, and his wife Karin Bergman, née Åkerblom, and the older brother of film director Ingmar Bergman and novelist Margareta Bergman.
