Beovizija 2004
Serbia and Montenegro debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Lane moje" written by Leontina Vukomanović and Željko Joksimović. The song was performed by Željko Joksimović and the Ad-Hoc Orchestra. The union of public broadcasters of Serbia and Montenegro, Udruženje javnih radija i televizija (UJRT) organised the national final ''Evrop(j)esma 2004'' in order to select the Serbia and Montenegro entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey. UJRT, the Serbian national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), and the Montenegrin broadcaster Radio i televizija Crne Gore (RTCG) submitted a total of twenty-four entries to compete in the national final on 21 February 2004. Željko Joksimović
Željko Joksimović ( sr-Cyrl, Жељко Јоксимовић, ; born 20 April 1972) is a Serbian vocalist, composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He plays 12 different musical instruments including accordion, piano, guitar and drums. Joksimović is multi-lingual, being fluent in Greek, English, Russian, Polish and French as well as his native Serbian. A singer-songwriter, Joksimović has been successful composing for other artists throughout the Balkans. Riva (band)
Riva was a Croatian pop band formed in Zadar in 1986. After forming in 1986, the band appeared on Zagrebfest 1988, Performing with the song “Zadnja Suza” (“Last Tear in Croatian). Boban Marković ( sr-cyr, Бобан Марковић) is a Serbian trumpet player and brass ensemble leader from Vladičin Han. He is of Romani background. Boban Marković Orchestra The Boban Marković Orchestra is a Balkan brass band from Vladičin Han, Southern Serbia, which can be clearly heard in their music. Luna (1990s Serbian Band)
Luna ( sr, Луна) is a popular pop group from Serbia with considerable popularity throughout the former Yugoslavia. The key group member is multi-instrumentalist and composer Čeda Čvorak (born Čedomir Rajičić). They released ten studio albums. Luna have been recording albums since the late 1990s, and popular songs have included ''Drugarice'' (''Girlfriend'') with Svetlana Ražnatović (Ceca), and more recently ''Ne ostavljaj me'' (''Don't leave me''), featuring Gloria from Bulgaria (one of a number of songs sung in Bulgarian and Serbian). The song was originally released by Luna in 1999 and sounds like the Sisters Of Mercy's song " This Corrosion". Negative ( sr, Негатив, Negativ) is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1999.
