Amira K. Bennison is a historian and currently Professor in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies in the University of Cambridge and fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge. Education Bennison studied history at Cambridge, graduating in 1989University of Cambridge. Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. ennison's home page /ref> before switching to Arabic. Andrew Bennison
Andrew Bennison (November 3, 1886 – January 7, 1942, in Oakland, California) was an American screenwriter and film director whose career was at its peak in the 1930s. Bennison was nearly entirely a screenwriter between 1923 and 1942 involved in the writing of some 40 American films of that period. He co-directed the film '' Born Reckless'' (1930) with acclaimed director John Ford and a young John Wayne as an extra. He died in Oxnard, California in January 1942. Charles Bennison
Charles Ellsworth Bennison Jr. (born November 30, 1943) is an American bishop. He was the 15th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. Education and family Bennison was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 30, 1943, and was baptized at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hastings, Minnesota, on December 24, 1943. His father, Charles E. Bennison Sr., was also a priest who went on to become the Bishop of Western Michigan. Bennison received a B.A. degree summa cum laude from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, in 1965. In 1965–66, he studied at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, and then attended Harvard Divinity School, where he received a B.D. degree in 1968 and a Th.M. degree in 1970. He earned his M.A. degree from the Claremont Graduate School in 1977, and a S.T.M. degree from Union Theological Seminary in 1992. Ishia Bennison
Ishia Bennison is a British actress, best known for her television appearances, although she is also a veteran stage actress. Bennison is originally from Hull in Yorkshire. Career One of her earliest roles was playing a nurse in the 1980 Charlton Heston film, ''The Awakening''. She also had roles in the television drama ''The Chinese Detective'' (1981) and she played Ruth Lieberman in the BBC drama '' Kessler'' (1981). John Bennison
John Bennison Order of Australia, AM Order of the British Empire, OBE (3 July 1924 – 6 May 2017) was an Australian businessman known for his long involvement with Wesfarmers. He began work at the company in 1954, and as managing director from 1974 to 1984 oversaw its transition from a farmers' cooperative to a publicly listed industrial conglomerate. Early life Bennison was born in Mandalay, British Burma, Burma, to Arthur and Doris Bennison. He lived in Burma until he was a teenager, when he was sent to Perth, Western Australia, to board at Hale School. Bennison completed his secondary education in 1941, and then went on to Perth Technical College. In 1943, however, he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). He trained as a pilot at the No. 4 Service Flying Training School RAAF, No. 4 Service Flying Training School in Geraldton, and during the war flew Avro Lancasters. Louis Bennison
Louis Bennison (October 17, 1884 – June 9, 1929) was an American stage and silent film actor, known for westerns. Biography Bennison was born on October 17, 1884, in Oakland, California. He attended the University of California, Berkeley. Bennison performed in plays such as ''The Unchastened Woman'' and ''Johnny Get Your Gun''. In 1912, he was a member of the stock company at the Alcazar Theatre in San Francisco. He had starring film roles and made his motion picture debut in the silent film ''Damaged Goods'' in 1914, other films included ''Pretty Mrs. Smith'' (1915), ''Oh, Johnny!'' (1918) and as the titular character in ''Speedy Meade'' (1919). In the 1920s, Bennison developed a relationship with Broadway actress Margaret Lawrence, and on June 9, 1929, the two were found dead in Lawrence's New York apartment, the result of a murder–suicide by firearm. Police believed the incident was alcohol-related.
