Bennett Chenene
Bennett Chenene (born 2 February 1984) is a South African former footballer. Career Chenene won the 2012 MTN 8 while playing with Moroka Swallows and the 2014 Telkom Knockout Cup with Supersport United. He earned three caps for the South Africa national soccer team. After having been without a club for four years, Chenene was invited in December 2018 to play for Williamsville Athletic Club Williamsville Athletic Club, abbreviated as WAC, is an Ivorian football club based in Abidjan. Sebokeng
Sebokeng () locally called Zweni by residents, is a middle-class township in the Emfuleni Local Municipality in southern Gauteng, South Africa near the industrial cities of Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging. Other neighboring townships include Evaton to the north and Sharpville to the south. History Sebokeng, which literally means "gathering place" in Sesotho, was established by the then apartheid government in 1965 when 18,772 houses were erected. In September 1984 there were violent clashes between the South African security forces and the residents of Sebokeng, who were boycotting rent and service tariffs. The cessation of fighting in 1994 allowed citizens to begin forming a stable community. Carling Knockout Cup
The Carling Knockout Cup is a South African professional football knockout competition which comprises the 16 teams in the South African Premier Division . The competition was established in 1982 and was first known as the Datsun Challenge. Under the new NSL regime in 1984, it became known as the ''JPS Knockout Cup''. It used this name until 1992 when it became known as the '' Coca-Cola Cup''. It was sponsored by the drinks manufacturer until 1996, when it was replaced by the ''Rothmans Cup'' which was changed back to the ''Coca-Cola Cup'' in 2001 due to the new rules regarding tobacco sponsorship in sport. Telkom became the new sponsors in 2006 until 2020. The 2020/21 edition was cancelled after the loss of the main sponsor and in August 2021 it was confirmed that the tournament would no longer be held, citing fixture congestion.
