Jonathon Andrew Benn (born 24 June 1967) is a former English cricketer. Benn was a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. Benn made his debut for Northumberland in the 1989 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Lincolnshire. Benn played Minor counties cricket for Northumberland from 1989 to 2002, which included 43 Minor Counties Championship matches and 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. He made his only List A appearance against Yorkshire in the 1992 NatWest Trophy. He opened the batting in this match, scoring a single run before being dismissed by Darren Gough. Wayne Benn
Wayne Benn (born 7 August 1976) is an English football manager/coach and a former professional footballer. Playing career Benn began his career at Bradford City before he signed for local rivals Bradford Park Avenue in 1995, upon his release from City. He played in over 400 games for the club, as a sweeper or in central midfield. He briefly played on loan at Halifax Town before returning to Avenue in September 1996. He was player of the season in 1998–99. He left on a permanent basis in January 2004, signing for Frickley Athletic. In November 2004, he left for Emley before moving to Ossett Town in the Northern Premier League. Managerial career Benn took over as manager of South Kirkby Colliery in July 2010. Wallace Parke Benn (born 6 August 1947) is a bishop of the Church of England. He was the area Bishop of Lewes in the Diocese of Chichester from May 1997 until his retirement in October 2012. Early life and education Benn was born in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland on 6 August 1947. He was educated at St. Andrew's College, Dublin, then an all-boys school in Dublin. He studied at University College, Dublin, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1969. Sulieman Jamaal Benn (born 22 July 1981 in Saint James, Barbados) is a West Indian cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies and first-class cricket for Barbados. Benn debuted in 1999/00, as a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. He is also a fairly useful left-handed batsman with a first-class average of 17.48.
