Benjamin Kumbuor
Benjamin Bewa-Nyog Kumbuor was the Ghanaian Minister for Defence of the Ghanaian Ministry of Defence and a Ghanaian politician. He was the Member of Parliament for the Nandom constituency. Education His last name is also reported as Kunbuor. Kumbuor had his secondary education at Nandom Secondary School, acquired his LLB from the University of Ghana, and qualified as a lawyer after completing the Ghana School of Law. He thereafter proceeded to the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and obtained his LLM with distinction. He was subsequently awarded the British Chevening Scholarship to complete his PhD in Law in Development (1997-2000). He also obtained the Overseas Students Award (OSSA) Doctoral Award at the University of Warwick. The Chevening Scholarship is an international scholarship, funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, that lets foreign students with leadership qualities study at universities in the United Kingdom. The Ghana School of Law (GSL) is an educational institution in Ghana for training lawyers. The school is the only one that provides training for law graduates in the Barrister at Law program. The Professional Law Course is designed for Law Graduates who have obtained an LLB degree and have passed the entrance examination.
