Benjamin Daimary (Assamese: বেঞ্জামিন দৈমাৰী; born 28 July 2000) is the first openly gay Indian actor to win a national film award. He got the Jury's special award for his role in the Assamese film ''Jonaki Porua'' (Fireflies) in 2021. He also received the best actor award at the Asian Queer Film Festival in 2020. Baksa District
Baksa district ( or ) is an administrative district in the Bodoland Territorial Region of Assam, one of the North-Eastern states of India. The administrative headquarters is at Mushalpur. Manas National Park is a part of this district. History Baksa was notified as one of the districts of Bodoland Territorial Region in October 2003 while it started functioning from 1 June 2004 when naturalist-bureaucrat Dr Anwaruddin Choudhury of the Assam Civil Service took charge as its founding Deputy Commissioner. Assamese (), also Asamiya ( ), is an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in the north-east Indian state of Assam, where it is an official language, and it serves as a ''lingua franca'' of the wider region. The easternmost Indo-Iranian language, it has over 23 million speakers. Nefamese, an Assamese-based pidgin, is used in Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagamese, an Assamese-based Creole language, is widely used in Nagaland. The 67th National Film Awards were announced at a press meet on 22 March 2021 to honour the best Indian films certified in India between 1 January and 31 December 2019. National Film Award – Special Mention (feature Film)
The National Film Award – Special Mention (Feature Film) is a certificate of merit presented by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India.
