Benjamin Benditson
Benjamin Benditson (born February 16, 1983 in Tarzana, California) is an American soccer player, currently without a team. Career Youth and College Benditson began playing soccer when he was five, playing club soccer for Real SoCal, and for both Oak Park High School and Milken Community High School. He played two years of college soccer at the University of Portland, and then transferred to Cal State Northridge for the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Benditson was named his team's defensive MVP in his second and last year at Northridge. Professional Benditson was drafted in the first round (10th overall) of the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft by Los Angeles Galaxy. He spent most of the 2005 season with the Galaxy's reserve team, making his first team debut when he replaced an injured Chris Albright in a 0-0 home draw against the Columbus Crew on May 26, 2005. Tarzana, California
Tarzana is a suburban neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Tarzana is on the site of a former ranch owned by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is named after Burroughs' fictional jungle hero, Tarzan. History The area now known as Tarzana was occupied in 1797 by Spanish settlers and missionaries who established the San Fernando Mission. Later absorbed by Mexico, the land was surrendered to the United States in 1848 by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo following the Mexican–American War. Under US rule it evolved into a series of large cattle ranches. Investors took over in the 1870s, turning grazing into large-scale wheat farm operation. Athletic pubalgia, also called sports hernia, core injury, hockey hernia, hockey groin, Gilmore's groin, or groin disruption is a medical condition of the pubic joint affecting athletes. It is a syndrome characterized by chronic groin pain in athletes and a dilated superficial ring of the inguinal canal. Football and ice hockey players are affected most frequently. Both recreational and professional athletes may be affected. Presentation Symptoms include pain during sports movements, particularly hip extension, and twisting and turning. This pain usually radiates to the adductor muscle region and even the testicles, although it is often difficult for the patient to pin-point the exact location. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system.
