''Beneath'' is a straight-to-DVD thriller-horror film co-produced in a first time partnership between Paramount Classics (a Viacom subsidiary) and MTV Films. The film is directed by the newcomer Dagen Merrill, who co-wrote the script with Kevin Burke, and the list of producers include Sean Covel and Chris Wyatt, as well as Troy Craig Poon. In Paramount Classics's first horror movie, which marks the company's expansion from acquisitions into the production arena, the cast includes Nora Zehetner and Matthew Settle. ''Beneath'' is a 2013 horror film directed by Larry Fessenden. The film had its world premiere at the Stanley Film Festival on May 3, 2013, and later aired on the ''Chiller'' channel. ''Beneath'' stars Daniel Zovatto, Bonnie Dennison, and Chris Conroy as teenagers who must fight for their lives against a man-eating catfish. A digital comic based upon the movie was released in July 2013. He directed and wrote the following Ghost House Pictures productions: '' 30 Days of Night: Dark Days'' and the webseries '' 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust''. Career In 2010, the SyFy Channel released '' The Resistance'', executive produced by Ketai, Scott Bayless, and Scott Rogers and directed by Adrian Picardi. It started as a low budget web series in the form of 4 short online teasers on YouTube. The company is notable for its award-winning series ''The Journeyman Project'' as well as '' Myst III: Exile, the'' 2001 sequel to Cyan's Myst series. In August 2002, Presto Studios shut down new development after the release of the Xbox title ''Whacked!''. In a statement, Greg Uhler (executive producer) announced the closing of the company: Due to business, financial, and personal reasons, Presto Studios is discontinuing software development.
