Ben Westwood
Ben Westwood (born 25 July 1981) is an English former rugby league footballer who played as a or in the Betfred Super League. He played for England and the England Knights at international level. He previously played for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League before moving to the Warrington Wolves in 2002. He was part of Warrington's 2009, 2010 and 2012 Challenge Cup winning teams. He has also played for Yorkshire. Background Westwood was born in Normanton, West Yorkshire, England. Normanton, West Yorkshire
Normanton is a town and civil parish in the City of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. It is north-east of Wakefield and south-west of Castleford. The civil parish extends west and north to the River Calder, and includes the large village of Altofts. At the time of the 2011 Census, the population of the civil parish was 20,872. The Normanton ward of the Wakefield City Council does not include Altofts, but includes the civil parish of Warmfield cum Heath to the south-west of Normanton. Catalans Dragons
The Catalans Dragons ( French: ''Dragons Catalans'', Catalan: ''Dracs Catalans'') are a professional rugby league club from Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales department, France. The team competes in the Super League and are the only team from outside England. The Dragons play regular home games at Stade Gilbert Brutus in the centre of the city. Catalans Dragons are the first non-British team to win the Challenge Cup since the competition started in 1896, after beating Warrington Wolves 20–14 at Wembley Stadium on 25 August 2018.
