Ben Owen Thomoson (born 2002 in Wrexham, is a Welsh professional footballer who plays for club Fleetwood Town, as a midfielder. Career Thompson started his career in the Academy at Connah's Quay Nomads at the age of ten and progressed through age groups up to under-14 level, where he was an ever-present in the side. In February 2017, he was invited for a six-week trial at EFL League One club Bury. Just two weeks into the trial he was offered a two-year contract with their Academy. He spent two years in the Academy at Bury, but was forced to leave the club in August 2019 when the first team were expelled from the English Football League and the Academy was disbanded. He subsequently moved to EFL League One side Fleetwood Town on a two-year youth scholarship. Wrexham
Wrexham ( ; cy, Wrecsam; ) is a city and the administrative centre of Wrexham County Borough in Wales. It is located between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley, near the border with Cheshire in England. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Geographically, the league covers all of Northern England and the northern/central areas of the Midlands, and western parts of East Anglia. 2021–22 Northern Premier League
The 2021–22 season will be the 54th season of the Northern Premier League. The league consists of four divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3 of the National League System, and the West, East and Midlands divisions at Step 4. The NPL continued this season with main sponsors Entain's Pitching In.
