Ben Scott (cricketer)
Benjamin James Matthew Scott (born 4 August 1981) is a former English first-class cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. He was born in Isleworth in the London Borough of Hounslow. Early career Ben Scott began playing his cricket at Wycombe House Cricket Club. Scott began to work on his batting and progressed through the Middlesex Colts Age groups before signing for the Middlesex. A lack of opportunities meant that he crossed the Thames and moved to Middlesex's local rivals Surrey for one season, where he was behind Jonathan Batty as first choice wicket-keeper. Middlesex return Scott moved back to Middlesex in 2004. Scott had had limited wicket-keeping opportunities, prior to the absence of David Nash due to an injury in 2004. Isleworth ( ) is a town located within the London Borough of Hounslow in West London, England. It lies immediately east of the town of Hounslow and west of the River Thames and its tributary the River Crane, London, River Crane. Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Northamptonshire. Its limited overs team is called the Northants Steelbacks – a reference to the Northamptonshire Regiment which was formed in 1881. The name was supposedly a tribute to the soldiers' apparent indifference to the harsh discipline imposed by their officers. John Simpson (English Cricketer)
John Andrew Simpson (born 13 July 1988) is an English cricketer who plays for Middlesex County Cricket Club. Simpson is a wicket-keeper and left-handed batsman who won the Denis Compton Award in 2004 at Lancashire, and 2011 at Middlesex. He made his international debut for the England cricket team in July 2021. Career Domestic career Simpson represented England U19s on tour to India in 2004/05 aged 16 and again in 2005/06 on a tour to Bangladesh. David Charles Nash (born 19 January 1978) is a retired English cricketer who spent the entirety of his long career with Middlesex. He spent 13 seasons at the county, playing over 250 first team matches, primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was honoured by England at Under-19 and A-team level, but never played a full international for his country.
