Ben Pearson (footballer)
Benjamin David Pearson (born 4 January 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Stoke City. Pearson began his career at Manchester United's academy. He spent time out on loan at Barnsley, before signing for Preston North End in January 2016. Pearson spent five years at Deepdale before joining AFC Bournemouth in January 2021. He helped the Cherries gain promotion to the Premier League in the 2021–22 season. In January 2023, he joined Stoke City on a six-month loan before making it permanent in the summer of 2023. He has also represented England at youth international level, playing for the under-16s, under-17s, under-18s, under-19s and under-20s. The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs.
