Ben Mockford
Ben Mockford (born 18 August 1989) is a British basketball player for Newcastle Eagles of the British Basketball League (BBL) and the Great Britain men's national basketball team, Great Britain national team. Professional career On 10 December 2020, Mockford signed a short-term contract with the Bristol Flyers for the 2020–21 British Basketball League season, 2020–21 BBL season. On 27 October 2021, he signed with Cheshire Phoenix of the BBL. In August 2022, Mockford signed with the Newcastle Eagles. National team career Mockford earned his first cap for the Great Britain national team in an international friendly against Latvia in Worcester, England, on 19 July 2014. Mockford had his first stellar performance with the team during an EuroBasket 2015 qualification, FIBA EuroBasket 2015 qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina men's national basketball team, Bosnia and Herzegovina, scoring 19 points on 5/8 shooting from three point range. Shoreham-by-Sea (often shortened to Shoreham) is a coastal town and port in West Sussex, England. The town is bordered to its north by the South Downs, to its west by the Adur Valley and to its south by the River Adur and Shoreham Beach on the English Channel. EuroBasket 2015 Qualification
This article describes the qualification procedure for EuroBasket 2015. Qualification format In the first qualifying round, 13 teams which didn't qualify for EuroBasket 2013 have been divided into four groups. The winners of each group advance to the knockout stage, composed by two semifinals and one final series under a home-and-away format. The champion of the first qualifying round qualifies directly for EuroBasket 2015, while the rest of the teams join 14 EuroBasket 2013 teams which did not qualify directly for the 2015 edition in the second qualifying round. First round 13 teams played in the first qualifying round during the middle of 2013. Denmark returned to the competition for the first time since 2010, while Azerbaijan, Albania and Cyprus did not take part in this edition after playing in the qualifying round in 2012.
