Ben Lobb
Benjamin T. Lobb (born September 10, 1976) is a Canadian politician, who represents the federal riding of Huron-Bruce in the House of Commons. He is a member of the Conservative Party. Early life Ben Lobb attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where he earned his B.Sc. in business administration. He is the son of a prominent local auctioneer. Political career Lobb was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in 2008 and has subsequently been re-elected in 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2021. Lobb was named the Shadow Minister for Digital Government on November 9, 2021 by Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole. In February 2021, Lobb was the sole Conservative MP to vote in favour of an NDP-proposed motion to take a first step towards developing a national pharmacare system. Huron—Bruce (formerly known as Huron and Huron—Middlesex) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1953. History The riding was created in 1952 from parts of Huron North and Huron—Perth ridings. It consisted of the township of Hibbert in the county of Perth, and the townships of Hullett, McKillop, Stanley, Tuckersmith, Hay, Stephen, Usborne, Grey, Morris, Colborne, Goderich, Ashfield, East Wawanosh and West Wawanosh in the county of Huron. Erin O'Toole
Erin Michael O'Toole (born January 22, 1973) is a Canadian politician who has been the member of Parliament (MP) for Durham since 2012. A member of the Conservative Party, O'Toole served as the party's leader and the leader of the Official Opposition from 2020 to 2022. Born in Montreal, O'Toole grew up in Port Perry and Bowmanville. He joined the Canadian Forces in 1991 and studied at the Royal Military College (RMC) until 1995. He was commissioned in Air Command, serving as an air navigator, eventually attaining the rank of captain. Following his active service, he received a law degree, practicing law for nearly a decade until he was elected to the House of Commons in a 2012 by-election. Peter S. Julian (born April 16, 1962) is a Canadian Member of Parliament for the New Democratic Party (NDP), representing the riding of New Westminster—Burnaby. Personal life Julian was born on April 16, 1962, in New Westminster, British Columbia, to Terry and Ruth Julian. His father Terry was a school administrator, historian and author, and a 2002 recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal. He also has one sister, Randi, and one brother, Patrick.
