Benjamin Johnson (born 1 August 2000) is a field hockey player from Ireland. Life Johnson was born in Waterford, Ireland, on 1 August 2000. Field hockey Domestic league Johnson currently competes in the Irish Hockey League, where he represents the Three Rock Rovers. Under–21 He made his debut for the Irish U–21 team in 2019 at the EuroHockey Junior Championship II in Plzeň Litice. Senior national team Johnson made his senior international debut in 2017. He appeared in a test series against Italy in Hillsborough. Since his debut, Johnson has been present at numerous international events. 2019 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship II
The 2019 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship II was the 11th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship II, the second level of the men's European under-21 field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 14 to 20 July 2019 in Plzeň, Czech Republic. Scotland won their third EuroHockey Junior Championship II title and were promoted to the 2022 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship together with the other finalists Russia. 2024 Men's FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers
The 2024 Men's FIH Olympic Qualifiers was the final stage of the qualification for the men's field hockey event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. It was held in Muscat, Oman and Valencia, Spain between 13 and 21 January 2024. Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and Spain qualified for the Olympics. Format Teams not qualifying from the continental qualification tournament were participating in this tournament according to the respective spots received by the FIH. The 16 teams were split into two eight-team tournaments. In each tournament the eight teams were divided into two four-team pools. After the round-robin stage the top two teams advanced to the semifinals. The top three teams of each tournament qualified for the Olympics. WLR FM, or more commonly WLR (Waterford Local Radio) is the local radio station covering Waterford City and County, Ireland. It is Ireland's Local Station of the Year 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022.
