Angelo State University
Angelo State University is a public university in San Angelo, Texas. It was founded in 1928 as San Angelo College. It gained university status and awarded its first baccalaureate degrees in 1967 and graduate degrees in 1969, the same year it took on its current name. It offers 50 undergraduate programs and 31 graduate programs. It is the second-largest campus in the Texas Tech University System. History The history of ASU can be traced to 1928, when San Angelo College was established following a municipal election held in 1926. Organized as part of the city school system, for many years, the two-year college occupied a site on North Oakes Street near the commercial center of the city. The 2016 United States presidential election was the 58th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The Republican ticket of businessman Donald Trump and Indiana governor Mike Pence defeated the Democratic ticket of former secretary of state and First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton and the United States senator from Virginia Tim Kaine, in what was considered a large upset. The Nib is an American online daily comics publication focused on political cartoons, graphic journalism, essays and memoir about current affairs. Founded by cartoonist Matt Bors in September 2013, The Nib is an independent member-supported publisher. Background Originally published on Medium, the platform underwent changes in May 2015 resulting in The Nib shifting focus and publishing less content regularly. The Happy Merchant is a common name for an image that depicts an Anti-Jewish caricature of a Jewish man. The Happy Merchant is common on imageboards such as 4chan or Reddit where it is frequently used in a hateful or disparaging context. History The image was first created by a cartoonist called A. Wyatt Mann (a play on "A white man"), a pseudonym of Nick Bougas. The image was part of a cartoon that also included a racist caricature of a black man and used these images to say: "Let's face it!
