Ben Currie (born 15 July 1994) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Warrington Wolves in the Super League. He has played for the England Knights, Ireland& England at international level. Currie has spent time on loan from Warrington at the Swinton Lions in the Championship. Background Currie was born in Lowton, Greater Manchester, England. Club career Currie played his junior rugby at Golborne Parkside before signing with the Warrington Wolves. He made his début for Warrington in April 2012, aged 17, in a 46–12 victory over the Widnes Vikings. He scored his first senior try a month later against Salford City Reds. Lowton is a suburban village within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, in Greater Manchester, England. It is around from Leigh, south of Wigan and west of Manchester city centre. The settlement lies across the A580 East Lancashire Road. Alex Walmsley (born 10 April 1990) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for St Helens in the Betfred Super League, and England and Great Britain at international level. He previously played for the Batley Bulldogs in the Championship and has spent time on loan from Saints at his former club in the second tier. Background Walmsley was born in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, England. Club career Walmsley started his career in the amateur leagues, playing for Dewsbury Celtic, and his university team, Leeds Met Carnegie. 2019 Challenge Cup Final
The 2019 Challenge Cup Final was the deciding game of the Rugby Football League's 2019 Challenge Cup competition, the 118th staging of the competition. The match was held at Wembley Stadium in London on 24 August 2019 with kick off at 15:00. The final was contested by the Warrington Wolves and St Helens, the first time the two sides have met in a major final. Background The two sides have never met in a Challenge Cup final before.
