Ben Cooper
Ben Cooper (September 30, 1933 – February 24, 2020) was an American actor of film and television, who won a Golden Boot Award in 2005 for his work in westerns. Stage Cooper appeared on Broadway in ''Life With Father'' (1939). He debuted in the role of Harlan at age 9; before the play performances ended in 1943, Cooper had grown enough to play Whitney. Radio Cooper acted in thirty-four radio serials, many of them soap operas, in the era of old-time radio. Film and television career Cooper's earliest credited screen appearance was as an eighteen-year-old in 1952–1953 on the ''Armstrong Circle Theatre'', then on NBC, in the two episodes "The Commandant's Clock" and "Changing Dream". Thereafter, he appeared in numerous films with Republic Pictures such as '' Thunderbirds'', ''Johnny Guitar'', '' The Last Command'', '' Duel at Apache Wells'' (1956), and other films such as ''The Rose Tattoo''. Ben Cooper (media Executive)
Ben Cooper is a British journalist, radio producer and media executive. He was the final Controller of Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Asian Network from 2011 to 2020, replacing Andy Parfitt, after which the position was abolished and replaced by Heads of Stations. He was replaced at Radio 1 by Aled Haydn Jones. Career Cooper started his career at BBC Hereford & Worcester. He also worked as a journalist at Three Counties Radio before becoming a producer at Radio 1. After a brief stint at Capital Radio as an executive producer, Cooper returned to Radio 1 where he became Head of Mainstream, then later Head of Programmes between 2006 and 2009, where he brought Vernon Kay to the network. He was appointed the station's Deputy Controller in 2009 and oversaw a major restructuring of programming, which included introducing Fearne Cotton and Greg James as weekday presenters. Benjamin Nicolas Cooper (born 10 February 1992) is an Australian–Dutch cricketer. He played for the Netherlands in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament. In January 2022, Cooper announced his retirement from international cricket. He is the brother of fellow cricketer Tom Cooper, who also played for the Netherlands but more recently has focused on Australian domestic cricket. They are Dutch citizens by descent through their mother who was born in Netherlands New Guinea. Benjamin Cooper (1854 – January 1920) was a British politician and trade unionist. Cooper was born and grew up in Norwich, where he completed an apprenticeship in cigar-making.
