Belu ( akk, 𒁁𒇻𒌑, Be-lu-ú) was according to the ''Assyrian King List'' (AKL) the 14th Assyrian monarch, ruling in Assyria's early period, though he is not attested in any known contemporary artefacts. He is listed among the "''seventeen kings who lived in tents''" on the ''Mesopotamian Chronicles''. According to the ''Mesopotamian Chronicles'', Belu was preceded by Abazu. Belu is succeeded by Azarah on the ''Mesopotamian Chronicles''. Belu-Simion Fainaru
Belu-Simion Fainaru (born 1959) is an Israeli sculptor who was born in Bucharest, Romania and immigrated to Israel in 1973. He studied at the University of Haifa from 1980 to 1983 and earned an MA from the University of Chicago in 1984. He continued his art education at the Domus Academy, Postgraduate School of Design in Milan, Italy and at The Royal Academies for Science and the Arts of Belgium in Brussels. Fainaru lives and works in Haifa, Israel and in Antwerp, Belgium. Much of Fainaru's work deals with Jewish history, Jewish rituals, and Jewish literature. Biography Belu Simion Fainaru, an Israeli sculptor and installation artist, was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1959 and in 1973 moved to Israel. Belu Zilber
Belu Zilber (born Herbert Zilber; October 14, 1901–February 1978) was a Romanian communist activist. Born into a Romanian Jews, Jewish family in Târgu Frumos, Iași County,Dinu C. Giurescu, ''Dicționar biografic de istorie a României'', p.579. Editura Meronia, Bucharest, 2008, he adhered to the Bolshevik movement while still an adolescent. Because he participated in the 1918 Bucharest general strike, typographers' demonstration of December 13, 1918, he was expelled from every educational institution in his native country by the authorities of the Kingdom of Romania. He continued his high school education in Paris and began but did not complete studies at the polytechnic division of the University of Grenoble. History Belu was founded in 2004 by film maker ''Reed'' ''Paget'' as a bottled water business with an aim to be an environmentally friendly alternative to other beverages on the market. Belu Regency
Belu Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. Established on 20 December 1958, Belu Regency has its seat (capital) in the large town of Atambua. In December 2012 a separate Regency - Malaka Regency - was created from the twelve districts that formerly comprised the southern half of Belu Regency. Belu means friend in Tetum. The residual part of Belu Regency had a population of 188,163 at the 2010 Census, which rose to 206,476 at the 2015 Census and to 217,973 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2021 was 227,397. Bêl (; from akk, bēlu) is a title signifying "lord" or "master" applied to various gods in the Mesopotamian religion of Akkad, Assyria, and Babylonia. The feminine form is ''Bêlit'' ('Lady, Mistress') in Akkadian. ''Bel'' is represented in Greek as Belos and in Latin as Belus. ''Belit'' appears in Greek form as Beltis (Βελτις). Linguistically, ''Bel'' is an East Semitic form cognate with the Northwest Semitic Baal with the same meaning.
