Beloved Life
''Beloved Life'' (german: Geliebtes Leben) is a 1953 West German drama film directed by Rolf Thiele and starring Ruth Leuwerik, Carl Raddatz and Albert Lieven. Following her husband's release from a prisoner of war camp in 1947, a woman remembers their lives together since the pre-First World War era. It was made at the Göttingen Studios and on location in Hamburg. The film's sets were designed by Walter Haag and Erich Kutzner. Rolf Thiele (7 March 1918 – 9 October 1994) was a German film director, film producer, producer and screenwriter. He directed 42 films between 1951 and 1977. He was born in Ústí nad Labem, Prödlitz, then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His 1958 film ''Eva (1958 film), Eva'' was entered into the 1959 Cannes Film Festival.
