Bellefire
Bellefire were an Irish girl group, best known for their 2002 cover of the U2 song " All I Want Is You". The original line-up consisted of Kelly Kilfeather (born 23 March 1979), Tara Lee (born 25 July 1982), Cathy Newell (born 14 July 1982) and Ciara Newell (born 7 July 1983). Tara Lee left the group in 2002. They mostly performed pop and adult contemporary music. Outside Southeast Asia and their native Ireland, they have received minimal recognition, although they did experience minor success in the United Kingdom with their singles. History They first formed in 1999 (see 1999 in music), at an audition organised by Louis Walsh and John Reynolds, the management team behind Boyzone. Walsh and Reynolds' goal was to form a male/female mixed group. According to the Irish Independent, Walsh was disappointed with the standard of male entrants and opted to sign a girl group instead. "Perfect Bliss" is the debut single of Irish girl group Bellefire, released as the lead single from their first album, '' After the Rain'' (2001). Issued in 2001, the song peaked at number two on the Irish Singles Chart in June of the same year, ending the year as Ireland's 23rd-best-performing single. On 2 July 2001, "Perfect Bliss" was released in the United Kingdom, reaching number 18 on the UK Singles Chart. All I Want Is You (U2 Song)
"All I Want Is You" is a song by Irish rock band U2. It is the final track on their 1988 album, ''Rattle and Hum'', and was released as its fourth and final single on 12 June 1989. It also appears in the ''Rattle and Hum'' film, playing over the closing credits. History "All I Want Is You" was released in the UK as a single on 12 June 1989. The B-side featured covers of The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody", and a cover of Love Affair's "Everlasting Love". Spin The Wheel (album)
''Spin the Wheel'' is the second album by Irish girl group, Bellefire. It was released in Asia around July 2004 and the singles garnered high radio airplay and chart positioning. This led to the band touring South East Asian countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. Although the band enjoyed some success in Europe with their singles, they parted ways with their record label EastWest before the album was scheduled for release there. The album features many covers of famous songs like " You Were Meant for Me", the hit originally performed by Jewel, and " Need to Be Next to You", penned by Diane Warren and sung by Leigh Nash, lead vocalist of Sixpence None the Richer, for the film '' Bounce''. ''After the Rain'' was the first album by Irish girl group Bellefire, recorded in 2001. It was prevented from being widely released in 2002 by Virgin Records' sudden decision to axe the group. This was in spite of the recent success of their single " All I Want Is You". By that time, the album had only been released in Japan. The album achieved some success in Japan and spawned the 3 singles, " Perfect Bliss", "Buzzstyle (Find My Way)" and " All I Want Is You". Although not received outside Japan, the European version of the album was to include new tracks. "You Were Meant for Me" is a song written by Steve Poltz and American singer-songwriter Jewel and performed by Jewel on her first album, ''Pieces of You'' (1995). It relates the singer's incomprehension of a failed relationship and her inadequate attempts at moving on with her life. "Say Something Anyway" was the Irish girl group Bellefire's first single release of their comeback as a 3-piece, after being signed by WEA. It is also included on their album '' Spin the Wheel''.
