Belinda Metz
Belinda Metz (born January 4, 1960) is a Canadian solo recording artist from the early to mid-1980s who has since gone into acting. She also has credits as a choreographer and songwriter. Biography In 1982 Metz released an independent album, ''The Minx'', on Quantum Records. Signed to a recording contract in 1985 with Attic Records, she released a full-length album, ''Electric Splash'', which contained her only hit single, "What About Me", and won her a "Most Promising Female Vocalist" award from the U-Knows, CFNY's listener's choice awards. In 1985 Metz was severely injured in a car accident. Later she returned to the public eye, acting as a regular in such shows as '' Kung Fu: The Legend Continues'' and ''TekWar''. Recently, she had a role as Irene the band manager in the Disney Channel Original Series ''So Weird''. ''The Survivors Club'' is a 2004 CBS television film directed by Christopher Leitch and starring Roma Downey, Jacqueline Bisset and Lauren Lee Smith as rape survivors. It is based on Lisa Gardner's novel of the same name. It premiered on 7 March 2004. It also aired in Japan on NHK where it was dubbed in Japanese. In 2017, the first season started streaming worldwide for free on Canada Media Fund's Encore+ YouTube channel until it was shut down in 2022. Plot ''Mentors'' follows the adventures of 15-year-old boy genius Oliver Cates who uses his computer to bring famous historical figures such as Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, and Joan of Arc from the past into the present for 36 hours. He and his friend Dee Sampson often use the device to help cope with the challenges of being teenagers, as well as learning about history. ''Dead Man's Gun'' was a western anthology series on Showtime from 1997 to 1999. The series followed the travels of a gun as it passed to a new character in each episode. The gun would change the life of whoever possessed it. Each episode was narrated by Kris Kristofferson. The executive producer was Henry Winkler. Plot Set in the Old West, this anthology follows the eponymous artifact, a handsome yet cursed gun that brings either disaster or fortune to whoever possesses it. In some cases of the former consequence, the gun's more villainous owners are killed at the end of the episode, while in others they live but suffer for their misdeeds. In a similar fashion to ''The Twilight Zone'' and '' The Outer Limits'', there are often twist endings to the stories. ''Goosebumps'' is a children's anthology horror television series based on R. L. Stine's best-selling book series of the same name. It is an anthology of stories about tweens and young teens finding themselves in creepy and unusual situations, typically involving supernatural elements or the occult. Production ''Goosebumps'' was filmed largely in the Canadian province of Ontario, with different houses and historic properties in Toronto, Markham and other outlying rural areas serving often as the sets for each episode rather than constructing artificial houses and buildings. Canada also provided a more affordable filming location and an aesthetic that could double as American while maintaining ambiguity in terms of location and setting.
