Belgium selected their Junior Eurovision entry for 2011 through Junior Eurosong, a national selection consisting of 8 songs, paired in four semi finals. From each semifinal, one song advanced to the final. The national representative, Femke, was selected on September 30. Junior Eurovision Song Contest
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest (often shortened to JESC, Junior Eurovision or Junior EuroSong) is an international song competition which has been organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) annually since 2003. It is held in a different European city each year, however the same city can host the contest more than once. The competition has many similarities to the Eurovision Song Contest from which its name is taken. Each participating broadcaster sends an act, the members of which are aged 9 to 14 on the day of the contest, and an original song lasting three minutes at most to compete against the other participating entries. Each entry represents the country served by the participating broadcaster. Viewers from all around the world are invited to vote for their favourite performances by online voting, and a national jury from each participating country also vote. Tom Dice
Tom Dice (born Tom Eeckhout, 25 November 1989) is a Belgian singer-songwriter. He finished runner-up in the Flemish version of ''The X Factor'' in 2008 using his birth name Tom Eeckhout, but soon after changed his name taking the stage name Tom Dice. He represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 final on 29 May in Oslo with " Me and My Guitar" ending up sixth overall. Dice was also the first Belgian act to qualify for the final since the introduction of the semi-finals in Eurovision. It became an international hit for Dice. Tom Dice has released three studio albums, '' Teardrops'' in 2010, '' Heart for Sale'' in 2012, and '' I've Come a Long Way'' in 2016.
