Belconnen ( postcode: 2617) is the most inner suburb of the larger district of Belconnen in Canberra, Australia. Sharing its name with the larger district which encapsulates it, the suburb is surrounded with well developed infrastructure, and planning which allows it sunset views from the Brindabellas on its western side. The suburb contains important amenities for the District of Belconnen including the Belconnen Town Centre and Lake Ginninderra as well as its own well populated residential areas. It is bounded by Ginninderra Drive, Aikman Drive, Eastern Valley Way, Belconnen Way and Coulter Drive. It has a number of parks such as Margaret Timpson Park, (within the town centre) Eastern Valley Oval, (on the lower slope of Emu Ridge) and on the foreshores of Lake Ginninberra, Diddams Close Park and John Knight Memorial Park. Aranda, Australian Capital Territory
Aranda () is a suburb in the district of Belconnen, in the Australian capital city of Canberra. Located at the western foot of Black Mountain and bounded on two sides by nature park, the suburb is characterised by its bush setting. During the planning and development of the suburb, a large proportion of large native trees – predominantly eucalypts – were left in place. The suburb derives its name from the Arrernte tribe of Central Australia, previously known as ''Arunta'', which means 'White Cockatoo'. The streets in Aranda are named after Aboriginal tribal groups from around Australia. The suburb comprises an area of 160ha and in 1967 was the first suburb in Belconnen to be settled. Belconnen Arts Centre
The Belconnen Arts Centre is an arts facility in Canberra which was opened in 2009. The facility is owned by the ACT government and managed by Belconnen Arts Centre Incorporated. The centre is operated by a small group of staff with support from volunteers. Building The Belconnen Arts Centre was designed by Williams Ross Architects and built by Project Coordination Australia P/L. The building is located on the waterfront of Lake Ginninderra next to the central business district of Belconnen. In 2018, the Centre was expanded with new performance space, dance studios, cafes, conference rooms, and an updated foreshore. The ACT government invested $15 million over three years to expand it. The Cameron Offices are a series of former government offices commissioned by the National Capital Development Commission and designed by John Andrews in the Brutalist structuralism style of architecture. The offices were constructed between 1970 and 1976 and partially demolished during 2007–08. They are located in the Belconnen Town Centre, in the district of Belconnen, located in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The Brindabella Range, commonly called The Brindabellas or The Brindies, is a mountain range located in Australia, on a state and territory border of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
