Liudmila Vauchok
Liudmila Vauchok ( be, Людмілa Ваўчок, russian: Людмила Волчек, born 19 June 1981) is Belarusian Paralympian. She competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, winning a silver medal, and at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, winning a bronze medal. She qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Career She had excelled in athletics and she had won the Belarusian national titles in runs between 1500 and 5000 meters distances before she injured her spine in 2001 and was forced to use a wheelchair. She stayed involved in sports after her injury winning podium finishes in national competitions in armwrestling, athletics and dance. She dominated especially in cross-country skiing. Vauchok participated in the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin winning 10-kilometer skiing race and adding three bronzes. The biathlon competition of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics was held at Whistler, British Columbia. The events were held on 13 March and 17 March 2010. Medal table Events The program includes a total of 12 events, 6 for men and 6 for women. Competitors are divided into three categories: standing, visually impaired, and sitting. Standing biathletes are those that have a locomotive disability but are able to use the same equipment as able-bodied skiers, while sitting competitors use a sitski. Skiers with a visual impairment compete with the help of a sighted guide and an acoustic aiming system. Vasily Shaptsiaboi ( be, Васіль Шапцябой) is a Belarusian Paralympic biathlete, cross-country skier, and road bicycle racer who won many medals at both Winter and Summer Paralympic Games. Career He began his Paralympic career in Sydney, Australia in 2000 where he won bronze medal in Men's T13 Track Athletics Relay. In 2004 he participated at the Athens Paralympic Games at which he won gold medals in both Men's Tandem Road Race and Time Trial for Visually Impaired. Larysa Varona, also known as Larisa Varona, (born 22 January 1983) is a Belarusian cross-country skier, biathlete, and rower. She has represented Belarus at the Paralympics in 4 Winter Paralympics competing in cross-country skiing and biathlon events (2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018) and in a single Summer Paralympics event during the 2012 Summer Paralympics competing in the rowing event. Biography Larysa Varona was born with a locomotor impairment on 22 January 1983. She started skiing at the age of eleven. Dzmitry Loban
Dzmitry Loban (born 3 May 1981) is a Belarusian male cross-country skier and biathlete. He has competed at the Winter Paralympics in 2010, 2014 and 2018 claiming 2 medals in his Paralympic career. Career Dzmitry made his Paralympic debut during the 2010 Winter Paralympics and managed to claim a solitary bronze medal in the men's 10km cross-country skiing event. He went on to represent Belarus at the 2014 Winter Paralympics and went medalless during the competition. He was also selected to compete at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, his third Paralympic event.
