''Behind the Stained Glass'' is the sixth studio album by rapper Killah Priest, released on May 20, 2008, through Good Hands Records. The album is the follow-up to Priest's 2007 release '' The Offering'', and includes leftovers not featured on that album, such as "Things We Shared," which was featured on the mixtape ''A Prelude to The Offering''. The album features only a few guest appearances, the most notable coming from Priest's fellow Sunz of Man Sunz of Man is a New York-based Wu-Tang Clan affiliated group that currently consists of Prodigal Sunn, Killah Priest, Hell Razah and 60 Second Assassin. Killah Priest
Walter Reed (born August 16, 1970), better known by his stage name Killah Priest, is an American rapper, member of Sunz of Man and Wu-Tang Clan affiliate who was raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville, Brooklyn. He is known for his intensely spiritual lyrics, containing religious references and metaphors. He is connected to the Black Hebrew Israelites through his rhymes, and is known for his controversial and political subject matter. He is also a part of supergroup the HRSMN along with Canibus, Ras Kass, and Kurupt. Good Hands Records
Good Hands Records is an independent hip hop record label founded in 2002 by DJ Truth aka Charley Greenberg and Art Beeswax aka Larry Maley. In 2006, Good Hands secured a distribution deal with Traffic Entertainment Group and released Camp Lo's "Black Hollywood", Kurupt Presents Tangled Thoughts, "Philly 2 Cali", Killah Priest's "The Offering", Charon Don and DJ Huggy's (Hands Down), "Art of Life", and Dev Rocka's "The Night Shift" in 2007. ''The Offering'' is the fifth studio album by rapper Killah Priest. It was released on August 21, 2007 through Good Hands Records, which is distributed through Traffic. Some songs reported to be featured on the album were released in advance, including the album's title track "The Offering", featuring Hell Razah. Okayplayer
Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999. In 2004, Questlove launched Okayplayer Records as a spin-off of the community, in partnership with Decon. After a near-decade hiatus, the label was rebooted in 2012 with Danny! as its flagship artist. Sunz of Man is a New York-based Wu-Tang Clan affiliated group that currently consists of Prodigal Sunn, Killah Priest, Hell Razah and 60 Second Assassin. History 1994–1996 Prior to being affiliated with Wu-Tang, Sunz were initially known as Da Last Future and included Shabazz the Disciple, 7th Ambassador and producer Su-Preme, but not 60 Second Assassin,.
