Lucas Demare
Lucas Demare (July 14, 1910 – September 6, 1981) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter, and film producer prominent in the Cinema of Argentina in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Biography At the 1943 Argentine Film Critics Association Awards, Demare won Silver Condor awards for Best Director, Best Film and numerous other awards for ''The Gaucho War'' (1942), a film which is considered by critics in Argentina to be one of the best films in its history. He won further awards including Best Film and Director for ''Su mejor alumno'' (1944) at the 1945 Argentine Film Critics Association Awards. He wrote and directed other films such as '' El cura gaucho'' (1941), ''La calle grita'' (1948), ''Mi noche triste'' (1951), ''Zafra'' (1958) and '' La Boda'' (1964). Mario Passano (1925 - 23 July 1995) was an Argentine film actor and tango performer. He starred in some 20 films between 1951 and the late 1970s. In 1972 he starred in '' Autocine mon amour''. He was the brother of the actor Ricardo Passano and uncle of the actor Ricardo Passano Jr. He died of a heart attack in Ituzaingó on 23 July 1995. María Nieves
María Nieves Rego (born September 6, 1934) is an Argentine tango dancer and choreographer who starred with her long time dance partner Juan Carlos Copes in the 1983 musical ''Tango Argentino''. Early life Born in the Saavedra district of Buenos Aires, she was the daughter of modest Galician emigrants. After her father died, she left school in the 4th grade to work as a maid in La Boca. She was introduced to the tango by her elder sister known as La Ñata. When she was 14 years old, the 17-year-old Juan Carlos Copes took her as his dance partner; the two would soon become lovers. Career Nieves and Juan Carlos Copes brought the tango and the milonga to audiences throughout the world. Lautaro Murúa
Lautaro Murúa (; 29 December 1926 in Tacna, Chile – 3 December 1995 in Madrid) was a Chilean-Argentine actor, film director, and screenwriter. He is one of the best known actors in the cinema of Argentina. Born in Chile, Murúa moved to Argentina at the beginning of the fifties. He studied architecture and fine arts before entering the film industry. He worked primarily as an actor and appeared in over 80 films between 1949 and his death in 1995 although he also directed a handful of important films such as '' Shunko'', '' Alias Gardelito'' and ''La Raulito'', all with stories usually revolving around social topics.
