Begusarai Airport (also known as Ulao Airport) is a small airport located in Begusarai, Bihar, India. The airport is located in the Begusarai district, near the banks of the river Ganga. The airport's owner is the Government of Bihar. History Begusarai Airport is an airport that is located on the east side of Begusarai. There are no scheduled flights to and from this airport. There have been demands for air services from this airport but no work has been done by the Government of Bihar to start this airport. The runaway of the airport is very short and expansion works would need to be carried out in order for larger aircraft to fly to the airport. In July 2022, V.K Singh from the Ministry of Civil Aviation clarified that the Begusarai Airport is included in the list of airports under the Udan Scheme, but no proposals have been received from airlines to start flight operations from the airport. Gaya Airport is an international airport serving Gaya, Bihar, India. This airport is 12 kilometres south-west of Gaya and 5 kilometres away from the temple city of Bodh Gaya, from where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment. Darbhanga Airport is a domestic airport and an Indian Air Force Station, serving Darbhanga, Bihar, India. It is located just at the outskirts of the city near the NH-105 and NH-57 highways, which pass through Darbhanga. The airport is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Barauni Refinery is an oil refinery located in Begusarai city in the state of Bihar, operated by Indian Oil Corporation. It was the dream project of Shri krishna Sinha the first chief minister of Bihar. It was built in collaboration with the Soviet Union at a cost of Rs.49.4 crores and went on stream in July 1964. The initial capacity of 1 million tonnes per year was expanded to 3 million tonnes per year by 1969. The present capacity of this refinery is 6.100 million tonnes per year.
