History The school was established on September 17, 1999 as a specialized educational institution for women's education by local member of parliament Moslem Uddin. The school was named after Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib. In 2018, in an official announcement, the educational institution including 301 other educational institutions, was fully governmentised. Awards The institute was recognized as the "Best Educational Institution" at the upazila level in the college department in the National Education Week-2019. Fulbaria ( bn, ফুলবাড়ীয়া) is an upazila of the Mymensingh District in Bangladesh. History According to archaeologists, most of the Fulbaria is an extended part of the land formed by the red soil of Madhupur and Bhawal; one of the oldest soils in the country. The southern and south-western and south-eastern parts of Phulbaria are composed of red soil. The north-western and north-eastern parts are composed mainly of ancient silt and loam soils. Fulbaria was formerly known as Govindaganj. The use of ''phulkhari'' (a type of chalk) was very prevalent in the area from which the modern name is said to have come from. In 1864, Govindaganj was renamed to Fulbaria and administratively established as a thana. However, due to the influence and power of some people, the boundaries could not be determined. Muslem Uddin (born 30 January 1939) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Mymensingh-6 constituency. Early life Muslem Uddin was born on 30 January 1939. He has B.A., B.Ed., and LLB degrees. Career Muslem Uddin was elected to parliament in 1986, 1996, 2008, 2014 and 2018 from Mymensingh-6 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib ( bn, শেখ ফজিলাতুন্নেছা মুজিব; 8 August 1930 – 15 August 1975), also known by her daak naam Renu ( bn, রেনু), was the wife of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first President of Bangladesh.
