Before They Make Me Run
"Before They Make Me Run" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones, featured on their 1978 album ''Some Girls''. Written by guitarist Keith Richards, the song is a response to his arrest for heroin possession in Toronto in February 1977. The criminal charges and prospect of a prison sentence loomed over the ''Some Girls'' recording sessions and endangered the future of the Rolling Stones. In the lyrics, Richards reflects unapologetically on his lifestyle up to that point. The line "it's another goodbye to another good friend" in the first verse can be interpreted as referring to Gram Parsons, Richards's close friend who died in 1973 from a drug overdose,Appleford 2000. pp. 162-163 and/or to heroin itself: Richards had sought medical treatment for heroin addiction following his arrest in Toronto, and his resolution to overcome his addiction would be a significant factor in his upcoming trial. Charlie Watts
Charles Robert Watts (2 June 1941 – 24 August 2021) was an English musician who achieved international fame as the drummer of the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his death in 2021. Originally trained as a graphic artist, Watts developed an interest in jazz at a young age and joined the band Blues Incorporated. He also started playing drums in London's rhythm and blues clubs, where he met future bandmates Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones. The Supersuckers are an American rock band, formed in 1988, whose music ranges from alternative rock to country rock to cowpunk. ''Havana Moon'' is a 1983 album by Carlos Santana released as a solo project. It features covers of Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry songs and performances by Booker T & the MGs, Willie Nelson and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and also Carlos' father Jose singing "Vereda Tropical", a song Carlos had first heard when his father was serenading his mother following an argument. ''Hyde Park Live'' is a live album by the Rolling Stones, released in 2013. It was recorded at Hyde Park, London on 6 and 13 July 2013 during the band's 50 and Counting Tour. Main Offender
''Main Offender'' is the second studio album by Keith Richards, released in 1992 between the Rolling Stones' '' Steel Wheels'' and ''Voodoo Lounge'' projects. Richards teamed with '' Talk Is Cheap'' collaborator Steve Jordan and added Waddy Wachtel to the mix both in composing and producing ''Main Offender''. Sessions with Richards' group of musician friends known as "The X-Pensive Winos" took place in California and New York City from March to September 1992, with touring in Europe's autumn and early 1993 in North America. ''Main Offender'' was released in October 1992 to generally positive reviews. However, it failed to match the commercial success of ''Talk Is Cheap'', reaching No. 45 in the UK, and No. 99 in the US.
