Bede Vincent Heather
Bede Vincent Heather (7 December 1928 – 25 February 2021) was an Australian Roman Catholic bishop. Heather was born in Australia and was ordained to the priesthood in 1951. A titular bishop in various churches is a bishop who is not in charge of a diocese. By definition, a bishop is an "overseer" of a community of the faithful, so when a priest is ordained a bishop, the tradition of the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox churches is that he be ordained for a specific place.
