Bede Goff
Bede Goff (1927-2000) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. He played for Western Suburbs and Balmain in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career Goff made his first grade debut in 1952, the same year that Western Suburbs defeated South Sydney in the grand final to claim their 4th and final premiership. Goff made no appearances for Wests in 1953 or 1954 but returned to the first grade side in 1955. Western Suburbs would go on to finish last in 1955 winning only 3 games for the entire season. In 1956 and 1957, Western Suburbs finished in 4th place but were eliminated in the finals by Souths on both occasions. In 1958, Western Suburbs finished 2nd on the table just behind minor premiers St George. In the first week of the finals, Wests shocked St George defeating them 34-10 with Goff playing at hooker in the game. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. First founded as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC), it is the only club to have played in each and every season at the elite level, and since the 1970s has often been dubbed the glamour club of the league. Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. The club has competed in either the NSWRL, ARL, or NRL competitions in all respective seasons from 1947 until 1999. St George Dragons
The St. George Dragons is an Australian rugby league football club from St George District in Sydney, New South Wales that played in the top level New South Wales competition and Australian Rugby League competitions from the 1921 until the 1997 ARL season, as well as the unified 1998 National Rugby League season.
