Beautiful Wave
''Beautiful Wave'' is a 2012 adventure coming-of-age drama film. The film was directed by David Mueller. Plot New Yorker late-teen Nicole (Aimee Teegarden) visits her estranged grandmother (Patricia Richardson) in Santa Cruz, California for the summer. She learns family history, meets a boy, takes a road trip to Mexico, learns to surf, and discovers her missing-or-presumed-dead grandfather. Aimee Teegarden (born October 10, 1989) is an American actress, model, and producer. She starred as Julie Taylor in the NBC drama ''Friday Night Lights (TV series), Friday Night Lights'' (2006–2011). In 2014, Teegarden starred as Emery Whitehill in The CW's short-lived science fiction romantic drama ''Star-Crossed (TV series), Star-Crossed''. Early life Teegarden was born and raised in Downey, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. She graduated from high school through independent study at the age of sixteen.
