Beauchamps School
Beauchamps High School, locally known as Beauchamps, is a mixed intake secondary school and sixth form for students aged between 11 and 18 (school years 7 to 13) in Wickford, Essex, England. The sixth form offers post 16 education for students aged 16–18 and accepts both former Beauchamps students and students educated at other establishments. The current headteacher of the school is Mr Mat Harper. The previous head was Mr Robert Hodges. History The school is located in the town of Wickford in Essex, England, and moved to its present site in 1959. The school was called Beauchamps Grant Maintained School until 1999, when its name was changed to Beauchamps High School. In 2003 it acquired a specialist status as a Business and Enterprise school, and in 2008 it obtained a Vocational status. In 2014 the school received an Ofsted 'Outstanding' award. Foundation School
In England and Wales, a foundation school is a state-funded school in which the governing body has greater freedom in the running of the school than in community schools. Foundation schools were set up under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 to replace grant-maintained schools, which were funded directly by central government. Grant-maintained schools that had previously been voluntary controlled or county schools (but not voluntary aided) usually became foundation schools. Andy Coulson
Andrew Edward Coulson (born 21 January 1968) is an English journalist and political strategist. Coulson was the editor of the ''News of the World'' from 2003 until his resignation in 2007, following the conviction of one of the newspaper's reporters in relation to illegal phone-hacking. He subsequently joined David Cameron's personnel as communications director, until announcing his departure on 21 January 2011 because of continued media coverage of the phone-hacking affair. The overall impact from his tenure came to be known as the "Coulson effect". Wickford
Wickford is a town and civil parish in the south of the English county of Essex, with a population of 33,486. Located approximately 30 miles (50 km) east of London, it is within the Borough of Basildon along with the original town of Basildon, Billericay, Laindon and Pitsea. Wickford has a main high street which includes a wide range of shops. It also has a swimming pool, library, open-air market and a community centre within the vicinity of the town centre.
