Beau Vite was a New Zealand-bred brown Thoroughbred Stallion, who developed into a grand stayer performing in New Zealand and Australia and raced from a two-year-old to a five-year-old on wet or dry tracks recording 31 wins from 5 furlongs to 2¼ miles. Beau Vite is a member of the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Breeding Beau Pere (GB) sire of Beau Vite was a highly successful sire in three of four countries standing at stud. Beau Vite was bred by Mr J.Curran from Shannon, New Zealand and sold as a yearling to owner Ralph Stewart at the Wellington National sales for 900 guineas. Dam Dominant (NZ) was purchased by Mr C.R.Bidwell for 200 guineas and raced by Mr J.A Taylor for 3 seasons winning only a trial hack race at Napier, New Zealand. Shannon is a small town in the Horowhenua District of New Zealand's North Island. it is located 28 kilometres southwest of Palmerston North and 15 kilometres northeast of Levin. Amounis was an Australian Thoroughbred Hall of Fame racehorse. He won 33 races over distances ranging from 6 to 12 furlongs (1,200 to 2,400 metres). Of these wins, 27 were in "Principal Races" (equivalent to today's Group races or "Black Type" races), 16 of these races have since been promoted to Group One (G1) status. Peter Pan (1929–1941) was a chestnut Australian Thoroughbred racehorse and stallion. Background Peter Pan was sired by Pantheon (GB) out of Alwina by St Alwyne (GB). Scone is a town in the Upper Hunter Shire in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Scone had a population of 5,624 people. Ajax was a champion Australian bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire, who won 18 consecutive races before he was defeated at the odds of 40/1 on, causing a huge racing sensation. He had wins from 5 furlongs (1,000 metres) to 1½ miles (2,400 metres), equalled the Australasian record for a mile (1,600 metres), and created three new race records. At stud in Australia, Ajax proved to be a good sire. He was then sold as a 14-year-old horse and exported to the United States before he was later sold to Bing Crosby and Lin Howard.
