Beau Anderson
Beau Anderson (born 25 December 1982) is an Australian former professional darts player who played within the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from 2013 to 2017. Personal life Beau's brother was the late Kyle Anderson who was also a Darts player. Beau and Kyle had a close relationship and regularly cheered each other on in tournaments from the crowd. Beau was present for what was arguably the pinnacle of his brother's career when he hit a 9 Darter in a World Championship match against Ian White in December 2013 at Alexandra Palace. Career In 2010, Anderson beat Bill Stanley 6–4 to win the Pacific Masters. In 2013, he won the qualifier for the Sydney Darts Masters, a tournament which saw the top eight on the PDC Order of Merit compete against the best players from Australasia. PDC Order Of Merit
The PDC Order of Merit is a world ranking system used by one of the darts organisations, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Following the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship it superseded a world ranking system based on points being awarded for performances in ranking tournaments. How it works The Order of Merit is similar to that employed in golf's European Tour. Prize money won during the previous two seasons is calculated and the rankings are determined from this money list. The Professional Darts Corporation adopted an Order of Merit system in 2007, which is based on prize money won over two years for the main Order of Merit and separate one-year rankings for other PDC Pro Tour events. Shane Tichowitsch
Shane Tichowitsch (born 9 January 1967) is a former professional Australian darts player. Career He qualified for the 2011 PDC World Darts Championship. He is a semi-professional darts player and has been as high as 93 in the world. He qualified for the 2011 PDC World Darts Championship, however he was defeated 1–3 by Andy Smith in the last 64 of the competition. In 2012, Tichowitsch won four successive events on the DartPlayers Australia tour, later finishing top of the Order of Merit and therefore returned to the World Championship in its 2013 edition. He lost to Dave Chisnall 0–3 in the first round, but his performance did not reflect the scoreline, with Chisnall admitting Tichowitsch deserved more out of the game. Rob Szabo
Robert "Rob" Szabo (born 29 October 1965 from Wellington) is a former professional darts player from New Zealand. Career Szabo claimed the 2010 New Zealand National Championship by beating Koha Kokiri 4–0 in the final. He qualified for the 2014 PDC World Darts Championship after winning the New Zealand National Championship in July 2013. After beating England's Ian Moss 4–3 in the preliminary round he led Phil Taylor 1–0 in sets and 1–0 in legs before losing 3–1 in sets, in the first round. His performance received high praise from numerous darts pundits including Wayne Mardle, and from Taylor himself. Robert Thornton (darts Player)
Robert "Bob" Thornton (born 17 July 1967) is a Scottish professional darts player, who is the current World Seniors champion. Thornton is a three-time major winner between the BDO and PDC, having won the World Masters in 2007, UK Open in 2012, and World Grand Prix in 2015. He is also a former finalist at the Players Championship Finals in 2009 and Grand Slam of Darts in 2013. Andrew Hamilton (born 16 March 1967), nicknamed The Hammer, is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Early career Hamilton started playing darts at the age of 14 with his father Jim and brother Darren. By the age of 18, Hamilton was playing county level darts for Cheshire. The 2013 Sydney Darts Masters was the inaugural staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, as a second entry in the new World Series of Darts after the 2013 Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters. The tournament featured the top eight players according to the Order of Merit and eight qualifiers competing in a knockout system.
