Beatus of Lungern, known also by the honorific Apostle of Switzerland or as Beatus of Beatenberg or Beatus of Thun, was probably a legendary monk and hermit of early Christianity, and is revered as a saint. Though his legend states that he died in the 2nd century, it is likely that his story has been conflated with other saints of the same name, especially Beatus of Vendôme, and an Abbot Beatus who received a charter in 810 from Charlemagne to confirm that Honau Abbey would be administered by Irish monks. ''Imperfect Harmonies'' is the second studio album by Armenian-American singer Serj Tankian. The album was released on September 21, 2010 through Reprise Records and Serjical Strike Records. Release and promotion ''Imperfect Harmonies'' was originally scheduled to be released on September 7, 2010, but was later pushed back two weeks to September 21. The paper manufacturing plant that Tankian selected to print the album's booklet ran out of tree-free paper and needed more time to obtain more of the material. Tankian is environmentally conscious and researched this type of paper on his own. Other releases by Tankian that use tree-free paper include his first solo effort ''Elect the Dead'', and '' Hypnotize'' and '' Mezmerize'', the last two releases by his band System of a Down. Beatus Rhenanus (22 August 148520 July 1547), born as Beatus Bild, was a German humanist, religious reformer, classical scholar, and book collector. Early life and education Rhenanus was born on the 22 August 1485 in Schlettstadt (Sélestat) in Alsace. He was the third of three brothers. His father, Anton Bild, was a butcher from Rhinau (the source of his name "Rhenanus", which Beatus Latinised from his father, who was known as the "Rhinauer", the "man from Rheinau"). His grandfather Eberhard emigrated to Schlettstadt from Rheinau, and his son Anton was a member of the local council and acted as Schlettstadts Mayor between 1495-1512. Beatus lost his mother Barbara Kegler at the age of three and was raised by his father and his uncle Reinhart Kegler, a priest. ''Beatus Vir'', Op. 38, subtitled ''Psalm for baritone, large mixed chorus and grand orchestra'', is a musical psalm setting written by Henryk Górecki in 1979 . The text is drawn from several psalms ( 143:1,6-10; 31:16; 88:2; 67:7; 34:9), and the title is from the last of these: "Blest is the man that trusteth in Him". The work was premiered on 9 June 1979, in Kraków, Poland, with Baritone Jerzy Mechlinski and the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by the composer. The work was a commission by then-Cardinal Karol Wojtyła (later selected Pope John Paul II) for the commemoration on the 900th anniversary of the martyrdom of St. Stanisław.
