Beatrice (band)
Beatrice (or simply Ricse, sometimes referred to as ''Nagy Feró és a Beatrice'' or ''Nagyferó és a Beatrice'') is a Hungarian rock band. It was founded in 1969 as a women's band, and played mostly cover songs. In 1971, Nagy Feró joined the band as a frontman. In the following years, the members were gradually replaced, and from 1974 they began to write their own songs in the then popular glam rock style. In order to get a record deal the band became oriented towards disco music from 1976. The group disbanded in 1977, and in the following year, Beatrice was reunited as a rock band by Nagy Feró with bassist Miklóska Lajos, guitarist Lugosi László, keyboardist Gidófalvy Attila, and drummer Donászy Tibor, and started playing rock in a similar style to AC/DC. Beatrice "Bice" di Folco Portinari (; 1265 – 8 or 19 June 1290) was an Italian woman who has been commonly identified as the principal inspiration for Dante Alighieri's ''Vita Nuova'', and is also identified with the Beatrice who acts as his guide in the last book of his narrative poem the ''Divine Comedy'' (''La Divina Commedia''), '' Paradiso'', and during the conclusion of the preceding ''Purgatorio''. Beatrice () is a city in and the county seat of Gage County, Nebraska, United States. Its population was 12,459 at the 2010 census. Beatrice is located approximately 25 miles south of Lincoln on the Big Blue River and is surrounded by agricultural country. History Gage County was one of the 19 counties originally established by the Nebraska Territorial Legislature in 1854. At the time of its establishment, there were no settlers living within its boundaries. In 1857, the steamboat ''Hannibal'', carrying 300 passengers up the Missouri River from St. Louis, Missouri to Nebraska City, Nebraska, ran aground near Kansas City, Missouri. The Beatrice Oil Field is a small oilfield consisting of 3 platforms located 24 km off the north east coast of Scotland. It began operations in 1980 with the field finally being decommissioned in 2017. Work is ongoing to begin removing all structures. The 84 turbine Beatrice Offshore Windfarm now sits in the same area and was completed in 2019. History and development of the field Beatrice was the first field to be developed in the Moray Firth area, and at 24 km from the shore that can be seen from the land. Beatrice Foods Canada Ltd. is a dairy unit of Lactalis Canada based in Toronto. The Canadian unit of Beatrice Foods was founded in 1969 and separated from its American parent firm, Beatrice Foods in 1978. The Beatrice trademark in Canada is owned by Lactalis Canada. Beatrice, Zimbabwe
Beatrice is a farming community in the province of Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe. It is located about 54 km south-west of Harare on the main Harare–Masvingo road where it crosses the Mupfure River. According to the 1982 Population Census, the village had a population of 1,300. The village was named after the Beatrice gold mine, around which it grew. The mine was in operation from 1895 to 1945 and was named after Beatrice Borrow, the sister of Lieutenant Henry J. Borrow, a member of the Pioneer Column. The original Beatrice Mine was pegged by Frank Johnson & Company, Henry J. Borrow being a partner of the firm. It was extremely lucrative, with a gold vein over a metre wide that yielded over five ounces (150 g) of gold per tonne when operations began in 1895.
