Bean Validation
Bean Validation defines a metadata model and API for JavaBean validation. The metadata source is annotations, with the ability to override and extend the meta-data through the use of XML validation descriptors. Originally defined as part of Java EE, version 2 aims to work in Java SE apps as well. Java Bean ValidationJSR 303 originated as a framework that was approved by the JCP as of 16 November 2009 and accepted as part of the Java EE 6 specification. The Hibernate team provides with Hibernate Validator the reference implementation of Bean Validation and also created the Bean Validation TCK any implementation of JSR 303 needs to pass. Current Version Bean Validation 2.0 is defined bJSR 380 approved 2017-07-31. This major release leverages language features in Java 8 that are very useful for the purposes of Bean Validation. JavaBean
In computing based on the Java Platform, JavaBeans is a technology developed by Sun Microsystems and released in 1996, as part of JDK 1.1. The 'beans' of JavaBeans are classes that encapsulate one or more objects into a single standardized object (the bean). This standardization allows the beans to be handled in a more generic fashion, allowing easier code reuse and introspection. This in turn allows the beans to be treated as software components, and to be manipulated visually by editors and IDEs without needing any initial configuration, or to know any internal implementation details. Java Annotation
In the Java computer programming language, an annotation is a form of syntactic metadata that can be added to Java source code. Technology Compatibility Kit
A Technology Compatibility Kit (TCK) is a suite of tests that at least nominally checks a particular alleged implementation of a Java Specification Request (JSR) for compliance.
